PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) is now known as EET (Electrical Equipment Testing) and are essentially the same thing.

PAT or EET testing is the testing and inspection electrical equipment that is usually portable, this also includes plant and fixed appliances up to 400v. We work with duty holders to make sure that your appliances are in line with the IET ‘Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment’ and will provide a PDF asset register of your appliances & test results, along with stickers for each appliance.

We also partner with Electrical Contractors and Facilities Management companies across London and the South East to provide a fully managed portable appliance testing service to their clients.

PAT (EET) Testing there to safeguard people and property against harm. Neglecting to PAT test your electrical devices can lead to insurers rejecting claims and even may expose you to legal liability or criminal charges. The responsibility for ensuring health and safety in the workplace rests on everyone's shoulders, including employees, contractors, managers, maintenance supervisors and landlords. Within the Electricity at Work Regulations, each of these entities is considered a "duty holder" and must implement a routine safety testing program for all equipment under their control, based on competent risk assessment.
